The chimp's name is Jia Ku, and he is like a celebrity at the zoo in China. Jia Ku was a circus performer and was born in a zoo of Beijing. At first the zoo employees didn't know that Jia Ku has any interest in smoking, but soon they noticed that Jia Ku became very excited when he saw a keeper smoking. And when they gave Jia Ku a cigarette and unbelievably, he smoked it.
On investigation the zoo employees found that Jia Ku started smoking after picking up cigarettes tossed by spectators and tourists. Now this chimpanzee smokes like a chain smoker.
As we all know that chimps have a strong ability to imitate humans but as animal they don't know what is good or bad for them. So, it comes in our and especially tourists responsibility that we should give them fruits and other harmless stuff instead of giving them cigarettes, etc.
