Nokia introduced a new cell phone called as Nokia 301. Nokia 301 is not wide as smartphones, it is similar to other ordinary phones in size but definitely not in features. It is free from front touch screen, and is equipped with alpha numeric keypad. And I think that's the only thing that's make it differ from smartphones category, otherwise it contains many cool features that are supposed to be the identity of smartphones. Lets talk about it features in detail.
Design & Display:
Design wise it has a simply rectangular body with round edges for a comfortable grip. Dimensionally it is 114 mm long, 50 mm wide, with 12.5 mm thickness. Nokia 301 has a traditional display of 2.4 inch of LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and with an RGB stripe.
Camera:
In 301 Nokia upgraded photography after inspiring from Nokia Lumia smartphones. Like in 3.2 Megapixel camera they included features like Panorama shot, by which you can easily put together four different shots in one. And this very good for landscapes, sceneries, etc. The 2nd change which they featured is Sequential Shot. Sequential allows you to select a best photo out of 3-5 pictures in a row with just a single camera button press.
There is one thing about which I'm sure that especially girls will like it is ease in taking self pictures. In Nokia 301 there is an Self Portrait Assistant option specially for self photos. Which tells you where to point the cell phone by speaking right, left, up, down, and then finally would take picture by saying OK. This is cool!
Operating System & Memory:
It runs on Symbian S40, which is user friendly operating system. You can customize your desktop by placing different shortcuts of apps with a home screen clock. You can use an external memory MicroSD card of up to 32 GB, while it has a RAM of 64 MB.
Applications:
There is big list of Nokia 301 apps. In pre-installed apps you have Nokia Express Browser, audio recorder, dictionary, alarm, calendar, converter, world clock, etc. For socializing they also give you some best apps like Facebook chat, ebuddy, Nokia chat. It also has an ability to connect with 3G Mobile networks, and you can get download speed of 7.2 Mbps.
For file sharing, Nokia 301 includes features like 3.0 Bluetooth, SLAM to share your pictures, files, etc. It also offers GPS services through mobile connections.
It is available in different cool colors like white, black, yellow, blue and magenta. This phone is being made for targeting a wide range of customers. If you are a professional type user, than it also helpful for you because of different features like email, internet browsing, dual sim facility, with an HD voice; no matter how much background is noisy. There is also some great stuff for entertainment including FM radio with RDS and radio recorder, QVGA video recorder and music player compatible to work with many formats.
Price:
Cost wise it is neither a costly and nor a cheap cell phone, it is mid range budget friendly phone. The price of Nokia 301 feature phone is only $85, which is around 8500 Rupees and 4600 Rupee according Pakistan and India currency, respectively.
